Jackson Holliday shares how he keeps his faith and focus strong. In the end the Victory Belongs to The Lord.
The game of baseball is exactly that, IT’S A GAME!
Baltimore Orioles infielder Jackson Holliday is an outspoken Christian who frequently attributes his perspective on life and baseball to his faith. He has stated that his identity is "100% rooted through Christ" and that baseball is simply what he does, rather than who he is.
Holliday grew up in a devout Christian household. His father, seven-time MLB All-Star Matt Holliday, and his mother, Leslee, heavily emphasized modeling a faith-first lifestyle. His father has noted that raising his children to know Christ was always his family's top priority.
On-Field Prayer: He prays during the national anthem before every game and incorporates prayer into his routine every time he steps up to the plate.
Scripture Outlets: He frequently references Bible verses on his social media accounts, sharing scriptures like John 3:30 ("He must increase, but I must decrease") and Proverbs 3:5-6 to guide his career perspective.
Bible Studies: Alongside his wife, Chloé, Holliday hosts Bible studies at his house on Sunday nights. He also participates in community and team Bible studies, frequently alongside fellow faith-driven Orioles teammates like Gunnar Henderson and Adley Rutschman.
