Seattle Seahawks defensive tackle Leonard Williams is an outspoken Christian who has openly shared his adult journey to finding his faith.
Finding Christ Later in Life: Williams did not grow up going to church. He was first introduced to Christianity when his former New York Giants teammate, Nate Solder, sponsored him to attend a Pro Athletes Outreach (PAO) Christian athletes conference. Williams has described this as a major structural turning point in his life.
Paying It Forward: Since his own life-changing introduction to the faith, Williams has turned into a "multiplier" for the Gospel. He has personally paid for and sponsored around 10 to 15 of his Seattle Seahawks teammates and staff members to attend the exact same PAO conference.
Trusting the Process: During media appearances, including at Super Bowl LX, Williams has spoken about how his relationship with God has taught him "patience and trust" through career trials, injuries, and trades.
