Eberechi Eze is a devout Christian who frequently speaks about the profound role his faith in Jesus Christ plays in both his personal life and professional football career. He views Christianity not just as a label or a title, but as a lifestyle and a strict standard that dictates how he conducts himself on and off the pitch.
How Faith Guides His Career
An Anchor Through Highs and Lows:
In interviews, Eze has described his faith as a stabilizing "anchor". He notes that the football world is filled with intense pressure and rapid changes, but keeping his foundation in Christ allows him to maintain peace of mind and perspective.
A Lifestyle of Actions, Not Just Words:
Eze emphasizes that claiming to be a Christian requires a complete alignment of character, speech, and choices. He believes his faith mandates absolute dedication to his craft—such as eating right, sleeping well, and working hard—as a direct reflection of his beliefs.
A Mission Bigger Than Trophies:
The Arsenal F.C. and England national team midfielder has stated that his ultimate mission is to live in a way that glorifies Jesus. He approaches daily life with the mindset that "it's not about me," focusing instead on humility and treating people with love.

Answered Prayers:
Eze frequently shares how faith guided him through early career rejections, including being released from Arsenal's academy at age 13. He described his eventual £67.5 million return to the club in 2025 as the literal realization of a prayer his mother offered up over a decade prior.
